Dear Angela, Claire, Eleanor and Nick
How to begin? We are not usually lost for words but are struggling to express our sorrow at Martin’s passing. Let’s concentrate on the essentials; a kind, generous, attentive friend; a splendid host and raconteur; a jovial holiday companion and kindly Godfather and family man. Martin will be much missed by us all. We spent Tuesday following the order of service, listening to the music and sharing the poems. We look forward to a further opportunity to share our memories of Martin at the Memorial Celebration. Glasses have been raised and Marmite consumed.
Rest easy cher ami.
Au revoir

Dear Angela and family,
We were having our afternoon stroll at the time you would have been gathering at the chapel. You were very much in our thoughts and we were so pleased to have read the Order of Service, so although we could not be with you we were there in spirit.
Martin will be very much missed, and we are so glad he was part of our lives for a while.
With our love, Geoff and Shelagh.
