Phil 31st March 2020

Many happy memories of Martin, Angela and family from my time at Alderley Park. I was sent over from ICI Pharma (France) in the Spring of 1974, started to play cricket again and we shared many hours together on the field and later in the bar celebrating (or occasionally commiserating) through the highlights of the 1980s (Icicals) to the twilight years and the eventual closing of APCC in 2016. Martin could always be relied upon, whether stepping up as vice-captain when there was a sudden vacancy (1991-1992) or when an opposition stand needed to be broken or the last overs seen out. His record was unparalleled: 460 appearances (all for the 1st. XI), 800 odd wickets, 136 catches and batting anywhere from 1 to 11. Happy days! Phil Poyser and pp Mady, Paula and Michael XXXXX
